David Puentes brings a unique blend of dedication, discipline, and expertise to the field of physical therapy.
A graduate of South Broward High School, David is currently furthering his education at Broward College, pursuing his PTA License. Prior to his academic pursuits, David served with distinction in the US Army as an Infantryman for 4 ½ years, where he honed his leadership skills and dedication to physical fitness.
David’s professional journey is marked by notable accomplishments, including his promotion to the rank of Sergeant and earning the prestigious Expert Infantryman Badge. His exceptional physical prowess is exemplified by achieving a perfect score of 300/300 on the Army Physical Fitness Test and maintaining an impressive average of 580/600 on the Army Combat Fitness Test. His commitment to excellence is further demonstrated by his completion of the Master Fitness Trainer Course during his military service.
With a background as a Personal Trainer prior to joining the army, David brings firsthand experience in fitness and wellness to his role. Notably, he spearheaded the physical fitness training program for his platoon, overseeing the training and conditioning of 15-20 individuals. This hands-on experience, coupled with his military training, equips David with a unique perspective and skill set that he now applies to his pursuit of becoming a licensed Physical Therapy Assistant.
